It is a stone of creativity, individuality, personal power and courage. It is sometimes called the "actor's stone". It can aid memory, including recall of past lives. Being associated with the sacral chakra, it brings energy and can increase determination and sexual desire.
It protects from anger, jealousy, rage and fear. In addition it can help with manifestation of one's desires, and is a traditional "good luck" stone.
Carnelian can help ease or remove sorrows and harmonize energies in the home. Physically, it has been used to heal sores, rejuvenate tissues and cells, rheumatism, kidney problems, gall stones, colds, pollen allergies, and neuralgia.
